To help to restore the courtyard garden of a 17th Century building. The courtyard garden is owned by Sir William Turner’s Hospital (not for profit) and is open 24/7. It is used for recreational / entertainment activities e.g. performances by brass bands, drama and music presentations etc., as part of local history tours, by groups visiting the chapel, for fundraising events e.g. garden parties as well as by the residents of the almshouses and attracts 2,500 visitors p.a.
