Coventry Transport Museum – Biffa Award Land Speed Records Gallery

Coventry Transport Museum aims to become the best transport museum attraction in the UK and, as a result, become a museum that has an enviable reputation for its exhibitions and visitor engagement on an international stage. To achieve this, there are two key elements to the project: one is to significantly upgrade five of the exhibition galleries at CTM, this includes the Biffa Award Land Speed Record Gallery, relocate the museum shop, create a new museum entrance/orientation space and create new education spaces. The other is to restore a 12th Century Old Grammar School close to CTM to create new exhibition and event space for CTM.
The new galleries will re-energise the museum to create a world class experience which is exciting and encourages people to engage with and enjoy our unique collection. It will give local people a place to learn about and get involved in their heritage & culture as well as attracting visitors from all over the world to see our internationally significant collection.
