Planting of Flower Troughs & Planters. 1x disabled access picnic bench, 2x park benches, timber for building notice board
Hedgehog & Bee houses, Bat & various bird boxes, 2x nest cameras, 20 waterbutts with stands & downpipe connectors, 6x 60m portable hose reels (with hose & connectors)
To enhance Cowpen Bewley Village green for both residents & visitors while promoting & conserving the history of Cowpen Bewley Village – designated a conservation area in 1997 for its well preserved medieval layout – dating from the 12th Century. Provide inclusive recreational facilities for residents & visitors. Promote the development of horticultural knowledge & skills by providing opportunities for practical experience to volunteers of all ages. Improve Physical, Social & Mental wellbeing of residents & visitors. Improve social interaction between residents, visitors & neighbouring communities.

Previous LCF Monies allowed the voluntary group to develop the green 2 years ago and enter Northumbria in Bloom, for which they won silver on the 1st entry.
With these new works, the aim is to reach Gold Standard for the 2025 competition and establish Cowpen Bewley Village Green as a tourist spot
