Crabtree Ponds woodland improvement

Improving the woodland around Crabtree Ponds to promote biodiversity. Encouraging the regeneration of the natural shrub layer through selective thinning, planting native shrubs, ground flora and trees. Removal of invasive plants like privet and Japanese knotweed, which are encroaching on native vegetation more beneficial to wildlife. Restoring a flight of wood and earth steps leading to the reserve entrance.
