Cranmer Bank Recreation Ground, Leeds - New Play Equipment (008287)

The project aims to update and modernise an extremely popular local play area for the benefit of the local community. Cranmer Recreation Ground is a small greenspace set on the outskirts of Leeds, in the heart of two large council estates. There is only one other play area close by servicing these two large residential estates. The site is home to a small play area a full-sized adult football pitch with fixed goal posts a small skatepark. The playground was laid out in the early 1990’s and whist it has seen repairs conducted; the site has not been improved for over 30 years. Whilst the equipment is useable, families find it no longer caters for their needs and it does not cater for any families with additional needs, easier access, or sensory requirements. The new play equipment will improve the play offer, making the site attractive and a more playful space for the benefit of the whole community.
