Creating a pollinator friendly garden for Goring Library

The land behind the library has potential as a community resource, but in its current state is not suitable for use by members of the public. Our project aims to transform this into an attractive accessible garden for the enjoyment of the community through landscaping and re-planting of the entire site. Friends Of Goring Library has raised funds for the landscaping aspects, which, with the requirement for accessibility, come at a considerable expense. The TOE grant would enable us to implement our carefully designed planting scheme, to be viewed from inside the library and enjoyed by those encouraged to venture outside. The grant would enable us to use a diverse range of quality plants with sensory appeal and seasonal interest that are drought-resistant and attractive to insects and other small creatures.
