Cromwell Uncovered

To reinterpret and refurbish the Cromwell Museum gallery, bringing to life the story of Oliver Cromwell to the widest possible audience, showcasing an internationally important collection in an engaging way.
1. to tell the story of Oliver Cromwell in a much more exciting, engaging and interactive way – to be the first place to visit to find out about the story of this remarkable and controversial man.
2. We want to be able to display more of our collection than we currently do, in a way that s accessible to all, and in conditions that enhance the environmental conditions and security of the objects, so that they can ensure their survival for future generations.
3. to engage many more young people in the story of Cromwell – through school visits or through informal learning with their families – by creating displays that are more interactive and though provoking. We want to get them to make informed judgements about Cromwell and his life, rather than telling them what to think.
