Crookes Community Centre, Sheffield – Community Room Project (50129/D/TP)

The project aim is redevelop and extend the Crookes Endowed Centre to create a Community Centre for the residents of Crookes and beyond. This will ensure that these much-loved facilities remain at the heart of the community they were initially built to serve, and yet become fit for purpose in the 21st century. The Community Room Project – The current space will be extended and refurbished to create modern, attractive and versatile facilities enabling increased community usage alongside the continued nursery provision. Installation of ‘key pad’ doors in this community room will enable multiple users to access the different facilities of the building at one time. A new entrance at the rear will allow us better access. The project will also include the installation of children’s toilet facilities, and the creation of a new storage area.

The Trust grant will contribute towards community room creation.
