Cropton Bank – Woodland Improvements

The project seeks to make enhancements to 9.4ha Cropton Bank for the long term benefit of the local community and other visitors, whilst at the same improving the biodiversity of the wood through removal of non native conifers, tree plantin, opening views, track work and new signage. Cropton Bank has a number of archaeological features and thinning work will also open up the site and highlight these areas, particularly the ancient monument site of Cropton Castle.
