Crossgates, Lamplugh Environmental Project

The project aims to landscape an area of unused land, owned by the Parish Council and managed by the Land Management Group. The land is presently used for fly tipping and dog fouling. The plan is to create an area that can be used by the community for recreational purposes, pathways and seating, along with a notice board, interpretation boards and wildlife habitats and native trees, flora and fauna.
The site is alongside the A5086 which is one of the main routes to the West Cumbria area and lies within the Regeneration Gateway Project for the North East Copeland aiming to improve the visual aspect of the area.
