Cuerden Valley Park Visitor Centre

Our project is to build a visitor centre for the Park encompassing classroom/function room, visitor facilities, cafe and an office for staff. The building will be eco-friendly with walls of straw bale construction and several other environmentally-friendly features . Wood used in the building will be sourced from within the Park as far as possible. Much of the work will be carried out by trained volunteers, and builders’ apprentices.

The visitor centre will generate much needed income for the Park via a cafe that will be open throughout the week, educational visits and other regular activities for the general public.
