Cumbria Hay Meadows Project

Employment of an ecologist over a three year period to survey, assess the condition of and produce management plans for a number of Cumbria Hay Meadow and Lowland Pasture sites (approximatley 250 within the Lake District National Park and 20 within Orton Fells). A database of seed sites will also be produced (important for delivering restoration.) This is part of wider project with the aim of bringing 200 hectares of Hay Meadow back into a favourable or recovering position.
