We aim to engage the local community in one of Carlisle’s most deprived wards into issue relating to food growing, habitat conservation and healthy sustainable lifestyles. The practical aspects of the work include allotment plot creation, and the creation of new habitats on site such as wetlands, grassland, new native hedging and wildflower planting. A new dry stone wall will provide local training opportunties as well as acting as a wildlife habitat.
