Cutbush Pond. Southampton – Pond Extension and Restoration Planned (007903)

The project will result in a freely accessible additional area of semi-natural open space to be enjoyed by all local people. The current lack of site access to wheelchairs and pushchairs will be addressed via a dropped kerb, removal of a bollard and surface improvements to a pathway.

The pond will be de-silted and its original extent will be restored. A pond viewing platform will be introduced to allow a view across the pond. Schools will be invited to use the pond for outdoor education. The woodland parcel will receive management to restore its structure and, in turn, increase ground flora. Broken fencing will be repaired, two benches will be repaired and a bin re-sited.
