Cutthorpe Cricket Club – Replacement Nets

The applicant is seeking to increase engagement in sport through the purchase of a new artificial cricket practice facility. They will encourage the participation of young people, women and girls by providing a facility that can be used in all weather conditions, attracting and retaining sports people.
They are looking for funding for the construction and installation of a steel cage, which will house a two-lane astro-turf cricket practice area.
Currently the all-weather facilities are inadequate, both in terms of size (they only have one lane), and quality (the lane is over fifteen years old, has become damaged and is becoming increasingly unsafe). At the moment they have no viable area for training in adverse weather conditions.
