Daisy Fields

Daisy Fields is a new 30 acre community nature reserve created from a brownfield site on the edge of Stockton on Tees. It will transform a former quarry into a place full of wild flowers and attractive to flora and forna. The site will also include tree planting to form woodland and a wild flower meadow. There will be a grassed area for leisure activities and we plan to organise a range of environmental focussed activities including revival of woodland management skills, night time safaris, pond dipping, creation of environmental sculptures, falconry displays, and activities specifically for children involving learning about animals and their habitat.
The focus of the nature reserve will be the creation and establishment of habitat that is attractive to the reintroduction of a wide range of flora and opportunities for bird watching.
