Dalziel St Andrew’s Parish Church, Motherwell – Roof and Stonework Overhaul

Following problems with theft of lead from their roof, the applicants have had a professional survey of he external fabric carried out which has identified the need to replace the lead on the roof and also address stonework pointing and ventilation shaft refurbishment. Some work is also required to the external walls which are weathering in places. To attempt to prevent further lead thefts, the applicants Conservation Architect also recommends that security measures are installed around the roof.
VC funding will be specifically for the roof and stonework relating to the east side of the Hall area.
