Dam Wood Ecological Improvements

This project will create a much needed pleasant and safe area within Sherdley Park by Removal of rhododendron and replanting with native species trees in an area of the park that has become an area suffering from antisocial behavior due to an intimidating atmosphere, renovating footpaths and renewing safety features, bridges and boardwalks will allow new planting to be sustained and not trodden allowing a new inviting native woodland to thrive.
Installation of dipping platforms will allow the wet areas to be used as an educational resource for local schools and the commuinity.
