Projects / Damp remediation work in a heritage community hall

Damp remediation work in a heritage community hall

Damp in one sector of the hall which is contributing to increased heating costs and carbon use in order to drive off the penetrating water. The root cause has been identified as a cast iron drainage channel set into the wall in that area which has degraded and causing water ingress. The project will remove this old channel and replace it with modern materials as well as installation of a damp proof membrane. Addressing the damp issue will allow future renovations and investment to the hall.
