Dance Centre Renovation

Dance Blast Renovation Project will facilitate the development of a new dance centre in the heart of Abergavenny. The new centre will bring back to life a former grade 2 listed grammar school gymnasium for community use.

The dance centre will provide a welcoming and inspirational environment for the communities of Abergavenny and throughout Monmouthshire. The dance centre will deliver a wide range of dance activities ensuring the widest possible participation and will increase local community engagement in the arts and culture and increase participants health / fitness and wellbeing.

Over the past 35 years the former gymnasium has been rarely used and maintenance has been minimal, therefore the building will need renovation and refurbishment throughout ensuring that it is brought up to standard and provides a safe environment for community participation.
