Darland Banks Enhancement Project

A practical conservation and community involvement project at Darland Banks nature reserve. Activities will consist of, coppicing mature secondary woodland to increase species biodiversity, scrub re-growth removal and management, to increase biodiversity opportunities for chalkhill blue and common butterflies and rare orchids, fencing around and area of scrub to maintain a site for reptiles and ground nesting birds, physical and visual access improvements, particularly scrub removal and improving pathways and volunteer activities
