Dawson – River Carron Path Link

This project aims to create a path link between the Forth and Clyde Canal, from its sea lock at the River Carron, and the existing path network within the Dalderse Community Woodland. Over 1km of whin-surfaced path will be constructed, improving access into local greenspace for the communities of Dawson and Carron, as well as for users of the canal towpath. Installation of steps with handrails, fencing and signage will help improve accessibility. Tree planting along sections of the path will extend the wildlife corridor, enhancing the site’s biodiversity value. Litter removal and path maintenance works will be carried out regularly after construction work is completed.
