Dean Lane Refurbishment, Bristol Skatepark Collective

This project aims to resurface a disused wasteland that is located next to Dean Lane Skatepark in order that it can be used for skateboarding and other wheeled activities. The project will unlock the potential of this space by adding some small skate friendly architecture that will cater for wheeled riders (skateboarders/scooters/BMXers) of all ages. The current skatepark next to the recommended site is over 40 years old and built on a hill making it more suited for experienced riders as you have no choice but to go fast. There is also a council owned disused shipping container on the space that used to be a youth centre. This project will bring the youth centre back to life.
