Debenham Community Centre, Stowmarket – Refurbishment

The pitched roof is bitumen felted and is in need of recovering and upgrading to current insulation standards. The walls also lack insulation and are partly concrete block and partly black, deteriorated weather boarding. Windows and doors are in a poor state and in need of replacement.
The community centre has been the social heart of Debenham and the surrounding area since the early 70s. It meets the need for social functions from weddings to funerals, youth groups, church worship, meetings and health and well being programmes. This project will ensure that these needs are still met.
