Deerhurst Pond Restoration, Deerhurst Parish Playing Fields Association, Glos

This is a project to reclaim the pond and surrounding banks from an overgrowth of reeds, recovering many years of silt, leaves and brambles and also rubbish hidden within the reeds. It also involves the restoration of the island in the pond which is presently covered in brambles and weeds. Repairs will be made to the clay base where necessary and any bank erosion will be made good. Wildflower seeds and plugs will be planted. A disabled access kissing gate and a three seat bench will be installed and any damage done to the entrance grassland by the village hall will be made good.
