Denburn Wood Water Improvement Project

Denburn Wood is a favourite local amenity situated close to the centre of Crail. Problems associated with the water, which flows, as the Denburn, through the wood, have affected its environment & appearance, the pond has been polluted by a previously unregulated intermittent sewage discharge (now sealed off) and exceptional flooding has filled it with silt & gravel. In some places the burn walls have collapsed, endangering paths & in others poor drainage has made them unusable in wet weather
