Development of BLGC’s Multi Sports All Weather Pitch/Cruyff Court

A contribution towards the installation of a new multi-sports all-weather pitch, the BLGC Cruyff Court. The court will replace an outdated and heavily used astroturf. The Cruyff Court, will be highly durable, vandal resistant, quiet under ball impact and meet the specfic requirements of the Cruyff Foundation. It includes goal ends, tall sides around 3 sides of the court, and a low side on the viewing area. The state-of-the-art facility will support various sports, including football, basketball, cricket, American football, and dodgeball. It will also enable structured activities like youth sessions, PE classes, and community sports. The current 15 year old pitch is frequently unusable due to flooding, limiting outdoor sports opportunities and overburdening indoor facilities. The new Cruyff Court will address these issues, providing a sustainable, weatherproof space for sports. It will also expand access to disability and female sports through dedicated programmes.
