Development of the outside space at Kirkheaton Community Centre

A contribution to phase one of the development of a former Victorian school playground at Kirkheaton Community Centre. Works will include site clearance, creation of beds for planting by the community (including raised), access to water, and installation of self-bound gravel surface. This will create a flexible space which will be open to all to prevent loneliness and isolation. Outdoor activities such as socialising, gardening, outdoor classes, environmental projects, engaging young people and school visits are envisaged. Further improvements will be made in the future as funds allow.
