Deveron District Biosecurity and Fisheries Development Project

1.1 To protect precious local Bio-Diversity. To carry out a co-ordinated, holistic and catchment- wide approach of eradication and control of existing non-native species. 1.2 To identify potential threats of non-native species that are present within and out with the UK which could be transferred to the Deveron catchment. 1.3 To formulate a bio-security plan to protect the Deveron catchment from alien species and organisms. Objective 2 - To promote the economic development by implementing a Fishery Development Strategy, promoting and enhancing the fisheries of the Deveron District. To Encourage youth to participate in angling.
