Dew Pond for Wildlife at Chee Dale Reserve

The project is to restore the dew pond at Chee Dale Nature Reserve. At the moment the pond is waterless as it will not hold water. A contractor will be tasked to install a butyl liner and geothermal layer at the base of the pond for it to hold water. It is a specialist job involving the removal of silt and subsequent levelling, also removal and replacing of existing stone setts. Replanting by volunteers will follow the filling with water.
