Dilkes Park Oak Trees Deep Aeration Treatment

The old oak trees in Dilkes Park (originally a wood) are dying, and a number have had to be felled this year as they were dead or dangerous. It is believed that a major cause of this problem is the severe compaction of the soil. This project is to carry out deep aeration treatment of the soil, injecting dried milled seaweed and aggregate after to mitigate the compaction and hopefully increase the lifespan of the remaining trees.
