Dipping Platform for Pond at Kirklees Valley LNR

The project aims to create a dipping platform at an exisiting wildlife pond in the Kirklees Valley. The Local Nature Reserve Officer and Volunteer Rangers wish to run pond dipping activities for schools and community groups in the area.
Kirklees Valley LNR is an industrialised tributary of the Irwell, north of Bury. Although it contains the remains of a number of industrial installations, it is still attractive and much of the valley is a Site of Biological Importance.
