Disability Access to Pitch number 1

Access is not currently available to the main sports arena. The object of the project is to provide disabilty access from the entry gate to the main stand and thereby to the perimeter pathway enclosing the playing area, in compliance with the Disability Act. As the pitch area is at a higher level than the surrounding ground area, this will involve cutting out the ground and provision of a pathway (approx 45m) at the correct gradient. Handrails are required (2 x 20m of double handrail). The project is to be Managed by Barlows Park Management Association (BPMA) who operate the complex under the authority of the Lease holder Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council. Barlow’s Plantation Environmental Trust Ltd. (BPET) intend to provision £6,000 maximum funding toward this required facility improvement project; BPMA will contribute the remaining funding.
