Divis Mountain to Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park and Nature Trail

This project will provide and promote public access along a continuous 10km waymarked trail from the summit of The National Trust’s Davis Mountain in the Belfast Hills to Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park, part of the Lagan Valley Regional Park in South Belfast. The route will link Divis and Black Mountain, Glenside Community Woodland, the upper and lower Collin Glens, Dunmurray village, Jubilee Park, Fullerton Park and finish in Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park in collaboration with all relevant partners.
The route will support urban regeneration strategies in local areas and will travel through a variety of habitats from upland heath, woodland glen and parkland which are ecologically rich. Access to this route and interpretation along it will increase understanding of biodiversity and positive management of these habitats.
