Doe Hill Country Park – gate and signage

Doe Hill Country Park is a 34 hectare public park/space area created on the site of Doe Hill coal mine, located between Stonebroom and Tibshelf in Derbyshire. This project is to install a metal gate to restrict vehicular access to the carpark site out of daylight hours. The site is accessible to general public on foot 24/7 365 days/year. The car park is open dawn to dusk – the gate is to be installed to reduce fly tipping on a night time and other anti social behaviour. The Friends of the Park (local group established with support of park developers). will be responsible for opening and shutting the gate. They are committed to this. The project is also to install a modest sign explaining what times the gate is locked at etc.
