Doorstepping, Participation Monitoring and Promotional Work to Increase Recycling in Scarborough

The project intends to monitor & evaluate householders waste & recycling habits whilst also raising awareness through promotional campaigns. The most effective way to collate this information is through face to face surveys & questionnaires known as doorstepping and participation monitoring. They will be rolling out a new kerbside scheme to 24,500 households. This will consist of a four weekly collection of plastics, cans and paper and a collection every two weeks for green waste. This project will also include some promotional awareness campaigns including leaflets and posters
