Dorman's Footpath

To widen and resurface the footpath to the Dorman's Pool Hide at RSPB Saltholme. The current footpath is narrow, uneven and not fit for purpose. This project will improve the pathway to the hide, making it more accessible, especially for those with mobility challenges. Widening the path will also enhance the habitat for rare butterflies including the rare Grayling and Dingy Skipper butterflies which bask on the warmth of the path surface and feed on the vegetation which grows through the stone.
