Drainage of NPFA Playing Field – Swinderby

Perforated plastic land drainage pipes will be installed below the field surface at 5m centres with connection drains discharging the water into an open dyke at the east edge of the field. The existing turf will be removed and the soil surface levelled to form a flat playing area. This will then be seeded with a suitable grass seed. Currently the field is very wet after prolonged periods of wet weather wih areas of standing water. The work will create an area suitable for the children to play games and sports upon
