Drub Village Community Park

Drub is an isolated community surrounded by large urban areas and suffers from a ‘rat run’ for traffic accessing the nearby motorway network. There is no public transport through the village and no shops or public services available. An improved recreational amenity has long been an aim of Drub Village Committee. They are spearheading a project to better develop the recreational ground (bequeathed for that purpose) into a community park for all the residents of the village. The small play area will be upgraded, with circular accessways, seating and planting areas added, to improve the wellbeing of village people and to provide a central meeting point.
