Drumburgh Moss Grassland Project

The aim of the project is to focus on two areas: Orton Moss and Drumburgh Nature reserves. Several areas of grassland at Drumburgh and Bucknill’s field at Orton Moss have not been grazed for many years and are starting to decline; without grazing, certain areas will develop scrub and woodland and rich grasslands will disappear. Access needs to be improved for visitors and moss areas need improvement through wetland development.
