Drumsurn Community Walkway-Fencing Project

We are now at Stage Two of our club’s development plan, which is the upgrading of an existing walking path to a safe and fit for purpose walking/running/cycling/scooting path for everyone in the community to use. The pathway, already in existence, is in poor decline and needs urgent work to pass safety standards. It is not being used at present as the surface is very rough, wet, and uneven.

This project will be done in three stages:
1. fencing
2. lighting replacement
3. walkway.

We are requesting funds to assist with the first stage of the project:
-to pull down an old fence on the perimeter of the walkway
-replace it with a new 4ft high metal fence.

When all stages are completed, the walkway will be accessible to the public seven days a week, twenty-four hours day, to walk, cycle, scoot or run.
