Dulwich Mill Pond

To improve the standing water habitat and ecological function of the Dulwich Mill Pond for biodiversity with particular regard to benefit invertebrates and amphibians.

The project will restore the ponds wildlife value by sensitive tree thinning and removing excess silt and recycle on site to create marginal revetments for aquatic vegetation. Two new fish free ponds will be created and planted to specifically benefit amphibians and invertebrates. Surplus silt will be dried and landscaped on site and sown. By reusing the silt, costs and carbon footprint of the project are reduced.
