Dunbar – Protecting and enhancing the Dunbar Harbour Kittiwake Colony

The exposed kittiwake colony at Dunbar Harbour has suffered from human disturbance and interference from dogs. A remotely controlled camera and on site signage will improve security and prevent future disturbance of this important species. In addition, non invasive public access will be provided using an audio visual link to The Scottish Seabird Centre and on the internet. Public interpretation of this important seabird colony will be provided on site, in the Seabird Centre and on line.
