Duthie Park Biodiversity Project

To establish the middle lake within Duthie Park as a natural wildlife area. The Lakes are to be resealed, edging and brickwork to be renewed and pointed. A new recycle pump is also being installed. The Biodiversity Project will provide visitors with an opportunity to experience different types of plant life, not normally associated with an urban setting. Park Ranges will also use the area to provide opportunities for school and community groups to participate in pond dipping activities and learn about pond life. Planting will be done by volunteers and schools.
To create an outdoor classroom by installing seating that fits in with the terrain and to plant a mixed native hedge to provide shelter for the outdoor classroom and encourage different types of wildlife.
