Earl’s Meadow Community Project

The project involves the purchase of a 1 hectare (2.5 acre) area of established grassland from Suffolk County Council and the creation of a natural and informal amenity area for the use of local residents. Seating and tables will be provided. A dipping platform overlooking the river will be constructed for the study of plants, animals and creepy crawlies. The land purchase will cost £10,000 and there will have to be extensive tree work as the riverside trees will require pollarding for safety reasons.
