East Keswick Wildlife Trust – Elliker Fields

Elliker Fields is an area of Magnesian Limestone grassland in the centre of East Keswick, which was purchased by the Trust following an appeal to villagers. The field has been untouched for 30 years and fruit trees, blackthorn and bramble have all encroached into the site.

The project involves clearing 50% of the scrub, reinstating and managing hedgerows, erecting post and wire fencing and installing gates and stiles to help with access between adjacent reserves already managed by the Trust.
