East Midlands Conservaion Programme – Allestree Park

BTCV East Midlands intends to run a programme of practical conservation events at important wildlife sites across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. The work at Allestree Park will take place over 4 days and be undertaken by BTCV volunteers who will contribute an estimated 32 workdays.
The work will focus on a large area of woodland which is suffering from the encoroachment of invasive species. Sycamore and rhododendron will be removed and hedgerows will be managed to improve the site for public enjoyment and biodiversity.
