East Midlands Conservation Programme – Bramcote Hills Park Woodland

BCTV East Midlands intends to run a programme of practical conservation events at important wildlife sites across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. The work at Bramcote Hills Park Woodland will take over 30 days and be undertaken by BCTV volunteers who will contribute an estimated 240 workdays.
The work will include rhododendron control, woodland thinning, access improvements and planting of native species in order to re-establish this former fragment of Sherwood Forest as oak / birch woodland, and will bring benefits for both biodiversity and public enjoyment of the site.
