East Midlands Conservation Programme – Sandy Banks

BTCV East Midlands intends to run a programme of practical conservation events at important wildlife sites across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. The work at Sandy Banks will take place over 4 days and be undertaken by BTCV voluntees who will contribute an estimated 30+ workdays.
The work will include heathland habitat creation ( heather scapes, bee banks ) and control of broom species which will bring benefits for both biodiversity and public enjoyment of the site. Sandy Banks is located in one of Nottingham’s most disadvantaged wards.
