East of Lionthorn Greenspace

A holistic approach is being taken to transform an underused area between 3 communties to provide enhanced woodland and greenspace, access and sports facilities. This will be delivered in partnership with Falkirk Council in phases. CSFT has already completed phase 1 (4.8ha - 9130 trees - of new woodland and hedge planting) & is now developing phase 2 for new & enhanced access, meadowland, wetland and interpretation. (The Council will deliver the sports facilities in further phases). Community consultations have helped shape proposals. Tree planting days with the local schools & residents have also rased the site's profile with the community.
